  • Upstairs Wine Cellar

    Upstairs Wine Cellar

Also known as the Original Wine Cellar, up to 12 guests will dine near a collection of the oldest wines on property behind locked iron cages. This entirely private space features an 11-foot banquet table centered in the stone walled cavern.

  • the wine cellar

    Downstairs Wine Cellar

A “once in a lifetime experience” is how most guests describe the opportunity to dine in the Wine Cellar. Lavishly opulent, it is carved into arched brick catacombs, with wrought iron-gated wine vaults surrounding the 25-foot banquet table hewn from a single piece of downed Big Sur redwood.

Built to house our world-renowned wine collection of over 23,000 bottles, each private event held here is a symphony of the senses. Exquisite food and wine, a richly intimate ambiance, white-glove service, and music are perfectly married to define the experience.

    Conservatory Room

The glass-domed Conservatory provides a garden setting, surrounded by lush greenery. The Conservatory is alive with a glittering custom chandelier, twinkling candlelight, and an elegant Italian statue of Venus.

Festive and airy, the Conservatory’s green and white elegance is reminiscent of the Gatsby era and provides a lovely backdrop for both day and evening events. Light streams through the glass-domed roof during the day, and at night the stars glimmer in the expanse of the sky.

The Conservatory is utterly unique and one of our most requested dining rooms for private events.

    Capacity: 100

  • a group of people in a room

    The Captain's Room

California’s maritime history is paid tribute in the Captain’s Room, which recalls the elegance of a 19th Century drawing-room. Surrounded by oil portraits of sea captains, guests dine fireside in the candle-lit warmth of blue and gold furnishings. Richly ornate and suggestive of a more leisurely era, the Captain’s Room invites groups to linger over the perfectly prepared meals served here.

    Capacity: 45

  • The Steinbeck Room

    The Steinbeck Room

Named after the famous local author, John Steinbeck, the backdrop of the Steinbeck Room features pictures and pieces of Monterey’s rich history. Adjacent to this space is our bar area, which hosts our resident pianist Dave Conley Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30-9:30 PM, and from 7:30 to 10:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Seating a maximum of 18 guests, this room offers windows that overlook the Sardine Factory boat out front, as well as a peek of the Monterey Bay.
